Meet our young mentors:
Ana has been connected to dance from an early age, starting with classical ballet. As a teenager, she expanded her repertoire to include modern and jazz ballet. In 2018, as one of the most talented dancers in her community, she joined advanced groups in tango and salsa, where she quickly fit in. Since then, she has become one of the most regular attendees at dance events in Podgorica.
Anja began her dance journey a few years ago with salsa. Encouraged by her friends who transitioned to tango, she followed suit, never imagining that one day she might become a tango teacher. Some predict that by 2025, she will fulfill this role.
An architect seeking a break from desk work, Emir discovered tango as the perfect way to stay active. What began as a simple activity soon blossomed into a passion, evolving into much more than just a hobby.
One of the most creative tango dancers in Montenegro, Marko has also taught salsa and tango for several years. Known for his excellent sense of humor, he lights up the dance floor with his effortless and natural style.
A future IT specialist who bravely stepped out of his comfort zone to explore the world of dance. For several years now, he has been mastering both Cuban salsa and Argentine tango.
Milica’s dance journey began in 2013 with salsa, where the rhythm and energy captivated her. In 2017, she took up tango, appreciating its elegance and precision. For her, both dances offer endless opportunities for learning and growth
Known for his radiant smile, Nikola is one of the most talented dancers in Montenegro. Since beginning his dance journey in 2015, he has become one of the most beloved leaders in the Montenegrin tango community.
A passionate tango enthusiast and professional tour guide, Petar started dancing tango three years ago. He is one of the most active members of the community, rarely missing a practice or milonga. Petar aspires to share his knowledge and passion for tango to help the community grow and thrive.
Known as one of the most huggable people in the Montenegrin dance community, Tatijana has been bringing positive energy to dance events since 2017. Her passion for dancing was so strong that she even danced in high heels during her ninth month of pregnancy. She is also the proud mother of an adorable little girl.

Meet our instructors:
Milovan is a cornerstone of the Montenegrin tango community, recognized as one of its earliest and most dedicated dancers still active today. His tango journey began in February 2009 while he was a student at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, preparing for a career in IT. Little did he know that tango would become an integral part of his life.
Milovan's first milonga in Podgorica coincided with the city's very first milonga—a historic moment that marked the beginning of his deep connection to the local tango scene. Legends within the community describe him as one of the most naturally gifted tango dancers of his time. Driven by his passion, he devoted countless hours to practice, refining his technique and accelerating his growth as a dancer.
In 2014, Milovan expanded his role in the tango world by becoming a teacher. Teaching only deepened his commitment, as he continued learning from some of the most renowned tango maestros worldwide. His dedication to both dancing and teaching has made him a respected figure in the community.
Outside of tango, Milovan is a true Renaissance man, with an impressive range of hobbies and talents. He plays several musical instruments, composes music, writes poetry, paints, and has even begun writing books. In addition, he runs half and full marathons and explores other dance styles, always seeking new avenues for creative and personal expression.
Known for his boundless energy and agility, Milovan is affectionately referred to as having the "fastest legs" in Montenegro’s tango community. While there’s no video proof—supposedly because no camera can capture his speed—rumors abound of his ability to dance every tanda at festivals and marathons without missing a beat.
Milovan Medojević embodies the spirit of tango: passionate, versatile, and ever-evolving. His influence on the Montenegrin tango scene continues to inspire dancers and students alike.
Jelica is one of the most seasoned dancers in Buena Vista, with over a decade of experience in the tango world—though she's quick to assure you she’s still only “somewhat above 30!”
Her tango journey began in 2011, shortly after moving to Podgorica and starting a new job as an English teacher. Alongside her professional role, she joined classes in Cuban salsa and Argentine tango at Buena Vista. Determined to excel in one of these dances, she left the decision to fate, flipped a coin, and tango won.
Since then, Jelica has dedicated herself to mastering the art of tango through a range of activities. She participated in flash mobs such as "Silent Tango" and "Viral Tango," attended countless workshops, seminars, and festivals across Podgorica and the region, and joined marathons to deepen her skills. Her commitment extended to assisting in classes at Buena Vista and even teaching tango to elementary school children. In 2017, her dedication culminated in becoming an official instructor at the very school where her tango story began.
Despite tempting offers from rival schools, Jelica has remained loyal to Buena Vista. She humorously states that her only condition for switching schools would be having a teaching partner who is a world-renowned tango maestro.
One of the highlights of her tango career was a performance with Ivan Jovanović in February 2016 at KIC Budo Tomović. As special guests at a concert by the Tanguango quintet, Jelica and Ivan wowed the audience with their rendition of D’Arienzo’s "Este es el rey." Although rumors suggest a low-quality video was uploaded to YouTube out of envy, Jelica simply laughs it off as part of the tango lore.
When asked about her dreams, Jelica aspires to follow in the footsteps of renowned tango instructor Zeynep Aktar, traveling the world with a dance partner like Sercan Yigit. Visiting Istanbul, both as a tourist and a tango dancer, remains high on her bucket list.
